About me
Professor McCarthy is currently the Irish lead on a clinical trial investigating Autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (aPAP), a rare autoimmune lung disorder.
Professor McCarthy is based in St. Vincent’s University Hospital and runs the Rare Lung Disease Referral Centre for Ireland.
