Feasibility Programme
The feasibility programme is a process through which the RD CTN will assist a clinical trial sponsor or Clinical Research Organisation to identify potential investigator sites and Principle Investigators for a study.
Process - 2 Steps
Step 1
An expression of interest form and short description of the study will be sent to potential investigators to invite interest in running the clinical trial. If the investigator is interested in the trial, the expression of interest form will be completed and returned. A completed expression of interest form does not commit the investigator to the trial.
Step 2
Once confirmation of interest has been received a feasibility meeting will be arranged between all relevant individuals. The purpose of a feasibility meeting is to assess the site readiness to deliver the study successfully including patient recruitment targets.
Three Stage Process - Feasibility
*Please note that the Three Stage Process is the process that happens after the 2 steps above is completed.
Stage 1
Feasibility is arranged and the relevant documents are circulated.
Stage 2
After the feasibility is completed another email is circulated with the feasibility notes and action points to be completed.
Stage 3
Email circulated stating if the study is feasible and a date by which the study should receive ethics approval.
