Seed Fund for Emerging and Early Career Researchers
The Rare Disease Clinical Trial Network is delighted to announce details of the 2024 Seed Funding Award.
Proposed projects should enable rare disease research e.g. develop novel methodologies for the design and analysis of clinical trials in small populations, optimise rare disease clinical trial interventions, explore proof of concept studies or build data to trial readiness.

Congratulations to Dr Laura Williams, Consultant Neurologist, who is the recipient of the 2023 Award.
Her project will pilot an inexpensive wearable device that measures dystonia severity to assess if it can offer a means to measure the effectiveness of treatments in clinical trials and in clinical practice.
